About – Terry Ho's Original Yum Yum!

From Taipei to the American South

Terry Ho's culinary roots span generations. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, into a family of restaurateurs and chefs, he was raised in the restaurant business and learned the craft from an early age. In 1976, his family immigrated to the United States and eventually settled in South Georgia, where they opened House of China. Terry worked in the restaurant growing up, developing the passion and vision that would shape his career.

The Birth of Terry Ho’s Yum Yum Sauce

Building on the foundation he learned working in his family restaurant, Terry went on to open a chain of 20 fast-casual Japanese restaurants across the Southeast. He served a creamy house-made sauce with every meal there, which quickly became a favorite among his customers. Coined Yum Yum Sauce, Terry bottled the recipe in 2012 to bring it to the masses.

From Local Favorite to Nationwide Love

Now, Terry Ho's Yum Yum Sauce has sold more than 90 million bottles and is available in over 36,000 grocery stores nationwide, including Walmart, Publix, Sam's Club, Kroger, Target, and Food Lion. What began as a signature restaurant sauce has become a staple in home kitchens across North America.
